Okay anon let me tell you a story about the little show that could. Nine years ago a guy named Mark Schwahn created a show called One Tree Hill. But this show has become something so much more. This show has become a part of my life. I never would have expected this tiny show on the WB to have such a huge effect on me. When I’m having a bad day, or I’m feeling lonely I get out my laptop & turn on One Tree Hill. It makes the bad days better. It keeps me going. I know that sounds cheesy but it’s the truth. This show means the world to me. Through out nine amazing years I have gotten the chance to watch these five amazing characters develop into these pronominal people. I have seen Nathan Scott go from a high school basketball player to being in the NBA. I have seen Haley James become a world famous performer. I have seen Brooke Davis, high school cheerleader become Brooke Davis, world famous fashion designer. I have seen Lucas Scott finally get his novel published & I have seen Peyton Sawyer become Peyton Scott. I bawled when Jimmy Edwards couldn’t take the hate anymore, and when Peyton lost her mom, for the second time. I prayed with Haley, waiting for Nathan to come up from under the water when he jumped in after Rachel and Uncle Cooper. I rooted for Peyton and Lucas, and was ecstatic when she showed up at the airport after years of loving the same man. I watched Brooke get the fairy tale life she deserved. I cried with Brooke, loved with Haley, listened to music with Peyton, laughed with Lucas, and I’ve played basketball with Nathan. I have gone on an amazing journey with these characters including crazy stalkers, and love triangles. These characters have taught me so much. So no anon, this isn’t just a show. It is a part of my life.

hahaha BOOM.

Oth is life. That is all.

Could not agree more! Oth has a little something for everyone!

  3. Girls and Self-Confidence

Today while I was on my way home I got to thinking about girls and self-confidence. I am not going to lie and say that at times I don’t feel self-conscious or wish that I was skinnier and looked like the girls you see on TV and in movies because I do, then again who doesn’t? That is the problem, so many people wish they looked the girls that they see in the media that they forget to see the beauty within themselves.

Sure I myself am not the best looking person in the world and most of the time guys don’t notice me, should that matter? Should this force me to change who I am? Of course not. Why should I change who I am because a guy or someone doesn’t notice because obviously if he didn’t notice he isn’t good enough for me. A guy who judges a girl based on the way she looks is an immature jerk. Yes, looks are what attracts a person but if a person is hot but can’t hold a conversation what is the point? Personality is truly what matters.

So yes i do have self-confidence, and great personality. If a guy will not take the time to get to know me then they are missing out on a person who can: keep a conversation going, has a sense of humor, I am smart and many more things; I have a great personality and to myself,  I am beautiful and that is all that matters.

So girls just remember you are beautiful not matter your shape or size, and if you don’t have a boyfriend(or girlfriend) and you thing that matters it doesn’t. There is someone out their for you, you just have to wait for that person to come. Cherish every moment you have with your family and friends because one day your prince charming will come just believe that he will.

(From 2010)Urban Outfitters released a t-shirt that clearly invited you to… ‘Eat Less’ (see the top above). After receiving lots of criticism, the shirt was quickly pulled from the online store. Sophia Bush was particularly outraged by this message and wrote an open letter to Urban Outfitters on her blog:

Ladies! This is OUTRAGEOUS. I hope none of you will stand for being told such a thing, in such a way. Being healthy, eating right, and staying active is one thing. Being told to starve yourselves by a fashion company? Not cool.
UO,
I have been a supporter of your store for many years, but now I’m through.
I am fortunate enough to star on a wonderful TV show called One Tree Hill. I play a fashion designer named Brooke Davis, who started a campaign on the show called “Zero Is Not A Size” and the outpouring of love and gratitude that came my way from girls and women ALL OVER THE WORLD who have body image issues brought me to tears.
To promote starvation? To promote anorexia, which leads to heart disease, bone density loss, and a slew of other health problems, not least of all psychological issues that NEVER go away? Shame on you. I will no longer be shopping at your stores. And I will encourage the tens of thousands of female supporters I have to do the same. I have fought to boycott BP. I never imagined I would also be boycotting affordable fashion.
You should issue a public apology, and make a hefty donation to a women’s organization that supports those stricken with eating disorders. I am sickened that anyone, on any board, in your gigantic company would have voted ‘yes’ on such a thing, let alone enough of you to manufacture an item with such a hurtful message. It’s like handing a suicidal person a loaded gun. You should know better.
I sincerely hope that next time you decide that making fun of serious issues is comedic, or ’snarky in a cool way,’ that you rethink your decision.
With Sincerity but NO respect,
Sophia Bush

Your very welcome! I don’t get CW so it is great to be able to watch it practically right after an episode! I think everyone should have that opportunity! :)

  8. One Tree Hill Relationships

I myself am a big One Tree Hill fan so yes, I do have my favorite relationships, couples, characters so on and so forth as does everyone else. What drives me crazy is reading and seeing peoples tumblrs who say that others are questioning why someone likes or doesn’t like a character. If you like or dislike someone it shouldn’t matter it is an opinion.

Without a lot of the background couples you wouldn’t have the great couples that are now present. My example is that I love Brucas and Jeyton and would have been happy if that was how it had ended but then I was introduced to Julian and I am so glad that Brulian now exists which means that Leyton needed to be. So even though i loved Brucas and Jeyton it all worked out to make the wonderful couple Brulian.

You can agree or disagree either or is completely your choice. Just remember the next time you think of a couple you really liked or really disliked or both that the previous couples shaped the couples that now exist.
